The latest poster for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla, in theaters May 16, once again celebrates the franchise’s heritage by putting the giant monster inside the flag of Japan.

From visionary new director Gareth Edwards (Monsters) comes what is said to be a powerful story of human courage and reconciliation in the face of titanic forces of nature, when the awe-inspiring Godzilla rises to restore balance as humanity stands defenseless.

Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Johnson, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Ken Watanabe, Richard T. Jones, Sally Hawkins, Akira Takarada, Victor Rasuk, Yuki Morita, and C.J. Adams star in the pic rated PG-13 for “intense sequences of destruction, mayhem and creature violence…

    huh, different, I like it though and definitely dig the whole “Godzilla” being spelled in the back…spikes? spines?…what are they supposed to be anyway? hahaha
