Can’t be any worse than REC3! Yet I’m not too sure I’m keen on the idea of ditching POV once again…..Without it, Rec just doesn’t feel like Rec ya know?

  • Zahk Scott

Let’s all just remember that the majority of fount footage films are in fact horrible, with films like REC being the exception rather than the rule – for every REC there are at least 30 very low budget C- or D- list found footage movies where all that happens is someone runs around in a forest or a house and screams for 1 – 2 hours.

  • Charlie Kelly

imo, The REC films are a hidden gem. except for REC 3.

Ugh. I couldn’t be more ultimately disappointed hearing this news. The first two films were brilliant IMO, and genuinely frightening. When Genesis dropped the found footage aspect, I was so seriously bummed out and just straight up disappointed. I may skip this one altogether. – _ – I was really hoping for a return to found footage for the last entry in the series.

Oh God, please be a good end to the series! The first two were so terrifying and claustrophobic while the third was more like a guilty pleasure. I’m a bit disappointed with the trailer because while it didn’t reveal too much, it didn’t show enough of the infected to show how bad the situation was, compared to the trailers of the first two REC films, just showed more confused people on the boat

I’m glad they’ve dropped the shaky camera effect. It worked well for the first two entries but it has outlived its place in the series. This is my most anticipated movie this year.

  • Not entirely sure about my feelings towards this. It seems Angela now is the victim again!? and at the last minute she is going to go bananas infecting everyone? Confused. Interest setting though thus I will definitely watch it!

Meh, 3 was good… it was just a jarring change of genre that didn’t fit in. Taken on it’s own as a zom-com, it was every bit as good as (if not better than) Shaun of the Dead.

I still agree though, I want 4 to go back to what 1 and 2 did horror-wise (though I’m GREAT with dropping the POV).

    • CTHL

Unfortunately… this looks more like it’s gonna change genres again and go the Resident Evil action route.
