DreamWorks Hires Writer To Bring In ‘The Prey’ Remake

Jon Croker (The Woman In Black: The Angel Of Death, Black Palace, The Abominable Snowman) has been hired to write DreamWorks’ remake of The Prey, a French horror film I have yet to even see (due to my own laziness, not a slam).

In the original film directed by Eric Valette, “a low-level crook who had to break out of jail in order to save his family from his former cell mate, who turns out to be a brilliant but deranged serial killer.

Who out there has seen the original? Was it screaming for a remake or is this a “people don’t like subtitles” thing?

It wasn’t anything special, but I enjoyed it for what it was.

I wouldn’t consider it horror, however. It’s more of an action film.
