Grab your camera phone and a box of Depends, because DreadOut has hit Steam. The supernatural horror game is one of a growing number of horror games that have been successfully crowdfunded on sites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo. That means if you donates to its campaign, you helped make it happen. I don’t know about you, but I think that’s pretty neat.
In related news, developer Digital Happiness has announced they’ll be making the second act available as a free update for everyone who purchases DreadOut on Steam. The free-roam mode, which gives players the chance to explore its areas and rid them of ghosts — including enemies not seen in the campaign — will be paid DLC, though it doesn’t have a price tag attached to it yet.
You can grab DreadOut on Steam right now for $13.49 (down 10% from its regular $14.99 price tag).
