“The Master Cleanse centers on a heartbroken man who attends a spiritual retreat, only to discover that the course releases more than everyday toxins and traumatic experiences.”
XYZ Films shops international rights and is showing a pre-visualisation of the fantasy horror at Cannes, while WME Global arranged financing and represents North America.
Jordan Horowitz produces for LA-based Gilbert Films, alongside Aaron L Gilbert for Vancouver-based Bron Studios.
Bobby Miller, whose appropriately bizarre short film “Tub” screened in Sundance 2010, makes his feature directorial debut.
Production is set for early July in Vancouver.
