Poster For ‘You’re Next’-ish ‘Tiger House’

Empire has the Cannes sales poster for the home invasion thriller Tiger House, starring Moon, Clash of the Titans and The Maze Runner‘s Kaya Scodelario.

Sounding like a riff on Lionsgate’s You’re Next. Scodelario plays Kelly, “a teenager who fights back after an armed gang break into her boyfriend’s home and take him and his family hostage.

The cast also includes Ed Skrein and Dougray Scott.

Directed by theatre director Thomas Daley, it is produced by Glass Man Films and Tiger House Film SA.

It is set in the UK but is being shot in Cape Town, South Africa.

Tiger House is the first film by to be produced by Glass Man Films, comprised of producers Richard Mansell (Only Lovers Left Alive) and Tarquin Glass, in partnership with South African producer Ronnie Apteker (Material).

Looks like Katniss Everdeen wandered onto the ‘You’re Next’ set.

i’m in. i love kick ass, tough female protagonist type films like this.

  • Call me a skeptic, but I don’t think this movie is going to work. First off, the “home invasion” genre has been done to death. Second of all, since we already know who the gang members are, some of the suspense is gone already. And third of all, I can’t really think of any ways “Tiger House” can transcend the genre because “You’re Next” pretty much did that. Now “You’re Next” isn’t some revolutionary film, but for such a small sub genre that is home-invasion, I don’t think you can do much with that genre.

And for people saying, wow, you are judging so much off of a poster and a plot synopsis, how about when you guys see a poster to an upcoming film or hear plot details and you go “this is going to be amazing”. Should we ridicule you for making assumptions the movie will be great? Remember, this is a comment section, not a fan forum.
