According to news site Znak, Polish blackened death metal band Behemoth has been released from jail and officially deported from Russia for failure to obtain a non-business “humanitarian” visa after possessing a valid business visa from the Russian consulate in Warsaw [Source].
Frontman Nergal stated in an interview that the band was denied access to toilets, forcing them to urinate in “…in plastic bottles,” while they were kept in a room that was approximately a “…half meter.” He also states that “…the walls were smeared with feces.”
Their May 25th show in Moscow has, rather obviously, been cancelled and the band states, “…the show will have to wait until next time.“
