The X-Files lovers will be glad to know that one Alex Krycek is back in Season 10, one of Mulder and Scully’s central foes. I understand why a lot of people get prissy about TV-shows-turned-comic-book, as they would rather just have more of the show, but Joe Harris’ run on “The X-Files” is nothing short of fantastic. Harris clearly loves the show and knows the universe well, but more importantly he manages to capture the best of the series with every arc. Whether or not you read comics regularly, this is a book no X-Files fan should pass up. Check out the preview for issue #12 below, courtesy of IDW Publishing.

The dreaded “black oil” has been tapped in the remote deserts of the Middle East, and divergent forces are massing to contain, control, and even assist the deadly, sentient essence of Earth’s once (and future?) alien colonists. But what does it want with Agents Mulder and Scully, what does a rising neo-Syndicate want with it? And why, where, and—most importantly—how is Alex Krycek involved?!
