‘The Strangers’ Director and His Serial Killer Robot, ‘Abe’

Last August MGM acquired rights to make a feature out of Abe,” a short film by British writer/director/VFX artist Rob McLellan.

McLellan is to write and direct the feature about a robot serial killer, only now The Strangers‘s Bryan Bertino is doing a rewrite, says Deadline.

Kevin Misher and Steve Tzirlin produce.

We’ve actually embedded the insanely disturbing short below, which is brilliant in the idea that a serial killer has no soul – much like a robot…

  • That was really cool.

Really enjoyed this. Whilst a little different, I still think Ruari Robinson’s Blinky is better.

Yes, Blinky! I really wish they’d make a feature film out of that.

  • boaaa82 .

    Sickkkkkkkk! im watching that again

  • Now that’s an idea to get excited about. It’s a terrifically done short film, it could end up being a great scifi/horror if it gets done right.

  • Matthew Moran

Actually, I kind of feel sad for ABE. 🙁
