‘Stars Wars’ Spinoff #2 Director Announced!

The Star Wars franchise is taking off in a way nobody expected, and it’s hard to tell if they’re getting ahead of themselves, or setting up something special like Marvel did with Avengers.

Right now J.J. Abrams is off shooting Episode VII, all while Godzilla‘s Gareth Edwards is developing an unnamed spinoff.

Lucasfilm and Disney are now setting up a second (of a rumored three) standalone Star Wars films, this time attaching Chronicle, pictured below, and Fantastic Four‘s Josh Trank to direct!

Early speculation is that one solo film will follow Yoda, with the other hunting down Boba Fett.

Clearly, the top brass at the studios are in the right mindset when it comes to talent, and all three directors are exciting. Now, if the three spinoffs are truly in development, I’m dying to know who will take the reigns on the third. Any guesses?
