[E3 2014] ‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ Footage Reintroduces the Scarecrow

I greatly enjoyed my time with Arkham Asylum, as I’m sure many of you did too. It had a lot of things going for it — it was smart, looked great, the combat was fluid, etc. Of its numerous strengths, the thing that stood out the most to me is the Scarecrow. When he was around, it turned into a horror game as Batman endured horrifying hallucinations induced by the Scarecrow’s drugs.

Because Rocksteady knows exactly what they’re doing, they’ve decided to bring him back in the upcoming Batman Arkham Knight.

You can see him along with a bunch of other amazing things in the gameplay video below.

If you fancy yourself some Scarecrow, you may want to grab the PS4 version, as it will be getting exclusive Scarecrow missions.

Batman: Arkham Knight is slated to release in 2015 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

I cannot wait to get my hands on this. I hope they’ve switched up batman’s tech though. It was feeling extremely stale last time.

It may sound weird, but I actually hope there are less gadgets in Arkham Knight. The last game, Origins, had the same problem Assassin’s Creed started to have with Revelations — they just keep adding new gadgets and eventually it starts to be too much.

I wouldn’t mind new gadgets to play around with, but more than that, I’m hoping they’ve taken steps to streamline his arsenal a bit.

I thought Arkham Knight was coming in 2014?

  • I liked this franchise. The storyline is engaging and fun and the whole collectible/sub missions groovy enough. However, despite this game looking gorgeous I do not like the prospect of having the batmobile turning into a tank and having fights on the street. Also, it would be cool if Gotham city could be populated with characters rather than being totally deserted. But then who am I kidding? Batman is my favourite hero of all time and I look forward to play this!

What is with the iron-man suit?
