‘Fear Followers’ Basically ‘Halloween: Resurrection’ Without Michael Myers?

Writing team Adam Mason and Simon Boyes have been hired to write internet-themed horror pic for Relativity Media that reminds me of the plot for the 2002 Halloween: Resurrection.

Deadline reports that Fear Followers will “track four college students who run a blog for fear junkies called Fear Followers, searching for the scariest haunted houses in America. They become trapped in one house and must fight for survival while their followers watch live online.

The script is based off a treatment by Jaime Primak Sullivan, who is also a co-producer.

The duo started out collaborating across the pond on the 2006 UK indie genre feature Broken, pictured, and followed with The Devil’s Chair, Blood River, Luster, and Junkie, which Mason directed and co-scripted with Boyes.

Mason and Boyes last year sold spec Equinox to Paramount Insurge and wrote Not Safe For Work for Blumhouse Productions, which Joe Johnston directed.

I wouldn’t mind checking it out but like most films these days it will more than likely disappoint.. As for Michael Myers. I’m still really worried about this Halloween 3D.. It could be a great script but in 3D it would be ruined effects wise. Some movies are great in 3D not Halloween..
