Those of you who haven’t checked out Ben Templesmith’s ‘The Squidder’ are in for a rude awakening, seriously if you watched that ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ trailer earlier this week and can’t wait then this is your ticket to the post apocalyptic future. The first issue was a bleak look at a strange cult with a little girl torn in the middle. It’s strangely intoxicating and beautifully realized. It has a palpable sense of danger and voice with only the first issue. So naturally I’m super psyched to offer and exclusive preview of issue #2 right here, right now on behalf of IDW Publishing.
The Squidder #2
Ben Templesmith (w & a & c)
The Squidder steals back a slave for a local strong man, only to realize success with the job means upsetting the fragile balance of human power. With the aid of the very Squid cult he hates, he realizes there’s a new game afoot and an old war still worth fighting, while more powerful eyes finally start to take notice.
