Lionsgate Dates ‘Blair Witch’ Director’s ‘Exists’!

With Lionsgate doing min-theatrical runs like Magnolia (see Leprechaun: Origins this month), they’ve set their sights (or sites?) on Eduardo Sanchez’s Bigfoot movie.

Exists, a found-footage movie from the co-director of The Blair Witch Project and V/H/S/2, will arrive on various VOD platforms October 3, a few weeks before it hits limited theaters on October 24.

In Bigfoot’s bold return to the big screen, “five friends on a camping weekend in the remote woods of East Texas struggle to survive against a legendary predator that is stronger, smarter, and more terrifying than anything they would have ever believed exists.

The film stars Chris Osborn, Dora Madison Burge, Roger Edwards, Samuel Davis, Denise Williamson and Brian Steele and is produced by Jane Fleming, Mark Ordesky, Robin Cowie and J. Andrew Jenkins.

I’ve loved everything he’s done. Which VOD services will get this?

What can Eduardo Sanchez add more to the found footage genre? Excited for its release. Especially with Bigfoot as the antagonist. There will be no witnesses!

Let’s hope this version is more Goldthwait than Barrymore.

This could be fun. I’ll watch it.
