FOX Digs Up ‘The Pyramid’ Poster

In addition to the release of Horns this Halloween, the Alex Aja-produced The Pyramid (formerly Site 146) is opening in theaters December 5, 2014 via 20th Century Fox.

Gregory Levasseur, who worked with Alexandre Aja on the screenplays for High Tension, The Hills Have Eyes and Maniac, directed the flick, which now has an official poster.

In it, “A team of U.S. archaeologists unearths an ancient pyramid buried deep beneath the Egyptian desert. As they search the pyramid’s depths, they become hopelessly lost in its dark and endless catacombs. Searching for a way out, they become desperate to seek daylight again. They come to realize they aren’t just trapped, they are being hunted.

Ashley Hinshaw, Denis O’Hare, James Buckley and Daniel Amerman all star.

Daniel Meersand and Nick Simon wrote this script.

I love when we get horror movies at Christmastime.

I don’t like the way this is being marketed…Aja neither wrote or directed it but the poster makes it seems like he did…also its a found footage movie but they’ve stopped mentioning that.

was supposed to be released a long time ago under a different name
