‘The Conjuring’ Sequel to Haunt Summer Audiences

The Conjuring

New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. have dated The Conjuring 2 for June 10, 2016.

The new tale of the Warren family is currently being penned by Carey and Chad Hayes. Both Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will be returning as the aforementioned paranormal investigators.

James Wan, who helmed the first film, and produced the spinoff Annabelle, is making a surprisingly return to the franchise and will direct. He is currently in post on Furious 7. He also directed SAWInsidious making him kind of the modern horror franchises.

No word on what story Conjuring 2 will follow, but we’ll let you know as soon as we hear.

  • ThunderDragoon

Awesome. Can’t wait to see it.

  • CaptainHowdy

Oh yeah, just what everyone wants, a sequel to The Conjuring. Because we all know that Annabelle turned out so well. *rolls eyes*

    • RidleyScottIsADirector@gmail.c

That SPINOFF did turn out well, as it made bank.

And this is a SEQUEL to THE CONJURING, which made even more bank AND received favorable reviews, and has the same core players involved. Moron.

      • wehoaks

I hate when turds like howdy up there think they speak for everyone else. Eat an ass howdy.

        • CaptainHowdy

I hate it when I voice my opinion and people start being rude. You don’t have to agree with me and you certainly don’t have to be mean about it.

          • BossWalrus

I don’t agree with your opinion, but I respect your right to give it!

          • RidleyScottIsADirector@gmail.c

And I have a right to give my opinion on HIS opinion! See how that works? Hypocrite.

          • Frank

Shut up pussy Scott, your opinions weigh as much as a SIDS baby’s dying breath. Fucking asshole.

          • Tigernan Quinn

Yeah, but your opinions are awful.

          • wehoaks

Don’t generalize as much then. There problem solved on all fronts.

          • CaptainHowdy

I agree that the way in which I stated my opinion wasn’t presented very well. Regardless, that doesn’t mean it’s okay to call me a “moron.”

          • wehoaks

You seem like a good dude. Not a moron.

          • wehoaks

Also do you hear something on this thread? Like the sound of a raving lunatic? or an obsessive tard? A raving lunatic, obsessive tard, hypocrite perhaps?

          • Frank

            Booooooooooo booooooooooo lame wehole lame

          • RidleyScottIsADirector@gmail.c

Don’t say stupid things then. That wasn’t an opinion. Ugh. *rolls eyes*, *flips hair*, *fingers asshole*

          • Frank

Don’t EVER apologize for your opinion in anyway. Fuck these movies. The Step-Up series makes money too, but nobody that doesn’t want to watch some hack shit likes them. I thought your opinion was very valid. Another, “by-the-book”, ghost story. Fuck that!

        • Frank

If you hate turds so much, why do you eat fat sandwiches of shit everytime you express yourself?

      • Jake from State Farm

The Conjuring may be one of the least scary horror films of all time. In fact, every horror film this clown has made has been horrendous. How people continue to find anything as cheesy as the conjuring scary will always boggle my mind. The only place to find good horror anymore is the J-market, and indie films.

        • RidleyScottIsADirector@gmail.c

Its critical and commercial success speaks for itself. Calm yourself.

          • Frank

            Booooooooooo booooooooooo pussy Scott boooooooo

          • Tigernan Quinn

            You first, hysterical mary.

  • Lana Del Gay

So done with supernatural ghost/demon movies. They’re boring and unoriginal, fuck paranormal activity for inspiring shit movies.

  • BossWalrus

I’m amped for this, especially with James coming back! This conjures a Walrus Approval!

  • Taboo

    Cool, I can’t wait!

  • Trisha Tachanawa

    James, Vera, Patrick = Awesomeness!

  • Waveboy

The conjuring was good up until they revealed the lame stock looking generic witch/ghost/demon…..That’s the problem with James wan movies, none of the ghosts or demons ever look scary. Still, The Conjuring is one of his better movies, while his worst would definitely have to go to insidious chapter 2…that takes the word lame to new heights!

  • Hovercraft55

“He also directed SAWInsidious making him kind of the modern horror franchises.” cause fuck writing…

    • RidleyScottIsADirector@gmail.c

He does look KINDA like a modern horror franchise.

  • darkMite

I was afraid that Anabelle was teh sequel, I’m super excited for this. Saw The Conjuring in theaters, plan on seeing the sequel in theaters as well.

    • RidleyScottIsADirector@gmail.c

Yeah, I thought the same as well! I wish they told us beforehand it was a spinoff that took place before The Conjuring.

  • amol

I respect everyone’s excitement but every James wan sequel border’s on mediocre this is going to be no different.

    • RidleyScottIsADirector@gmail.c

Honey pookie baby, there’s only been Insidious 2.

  • drmodem

“making a surprisingly return” and “He also directed SAWInsidious making him kind of the modern horror franchises” – were you drunk when you wrote this?!

    • Chrissie-Watkins

      THANK YOU!

  • Anton Tobias

Isnt it about ‘The Enfield Poltergeist’? Supposedly a true story in England
