‘Alien’: Louis C.K. Wants to Die In a Terrible Way!

Louis C.K. Alien

One of the best roles in James Cameron’s 1986 Aliens is Carter Burke, played by comedian Paul Reiser. What was so spectacular about the role is that he played a real asshole, someone you wanted to die badly. Could the same be in store for Louis C.K.?

Earlier this week it was announced that District 9, Elysium and Chappie director Neill Blomkamp would be getting behind the camera for the next installment of Alien. Ridley Scott will produce, and Sigourney Weaver, who starred in Blomkamp’s previous two films, has been actively talking about returning to her iconic Ripley role.

Since the announcement, Weaver stopped by the “Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” where he asked about Alien. Here story was surprising.

“We’ve been talking about it,” Weaver said of her recent on-set conversations with Blomkamp regarding a new Alien. “He’s so talented.”

“I said this to Louis C.K. the other night, and he said ‘I wanna be in it, and I want to die in a terrible way.’ ”

Weaver’s respond? “I’m sure something can be arranged.”

I really enjoy this bater because it suggests that Weaver has her pulse on the storyline, and can easily collaborate ideas with Blomkamp. I think Weaver has a very specific vision for Ripley, and hopefully between her and Blomkamp it can become fully realized. The Xenomorph planet must be destroyed…
