The ‘State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition’ Makes its Trailer Debut

Microsoft has finally decided to give us our first real look at the upcoming State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition, otherwise known, at least to me, as that surprisingly good zombie survival game that used to be lousy with penises.

Developed by Undead Labs, this version of their hit open-world game has been remastered in 1080p and will bring with it a substantial amount of new content, including new weapons, vehicles and characters, as well as both story expansions — Lifeline and Breakdown.

This debut trailer is comprised entirely of in-game footage, so what you see is what you’ll get when it arrives next month.

The State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition is slated to arrive on April 28 for Xbox One.

Man, still no reason to buy an X-Box One.

      Dumb fanboy

Typical troll. Talks shit and runs.

My Xbox One has gotten waaaaay more playtime than my PS4. Shit, my Wii U is seeing more playtime than the PS4. PS4 might have slightly better specs than XBO, but it sure is lacking in worthwhile games. I can’t think of anything other than Bloodborne worth a damn releasing this year. Uncharted 4 slipping to 2016 is certainly not helping matters any.

          • ragethorn

Just out of curiosity, what do you plan on your XBox One that got waaaaaaaay more playtime? Titanfall? zzzzzzzzzzzzz

          • coffinbirth

Dead Rising 3, Ryse, Crimson Dragon, Forza 5, Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive, Halo: Master Chief Collection, #IDARB, The Escapists, D4, Killer Instinct, Ori & The Blind Forest, Pneuma, Super Time Force, and yeah…Titanfall. Right off the top of my head. I thoroughly enjoyed Titanfall off and on for several months. Great game, just not enough of it, IMO. I’ve played it longer than Killzone, I can tell you that.

Xbox One has a pretty good slate of exclusive games coming up too…Ps4? Not so much. but maybe 2016 will be the year…

          • ragethorn

Dude, rid yourself of your fanboyism. Your days are numbered. LOL @ Ryse and Dead Rising 3. From what you’ve mentioned, the only reason to own an X-Box is Forza. The rest are okaaaaay at best. As for the PS4, you’re adorable but the Last of Us on PS3 can easily wipe out any game on Microsofts console last or this gen. That’s just a fact.

I rather buy a PS. My opinion of course.

            Now you’re just trolling.

“the Last of Us on PS3 can easily wipe out any game on Microsofts console last or this gen. That’s just a fact.”

You clearly do not understand what a fact is.

            Majority rules.

            Taste. You don’t have it.

    • RawBeard

there are plenty of reasons…. just like there is with the PS4. I’ve got an Xbox One and all the exclusives I’ve got and played have been great fun.

      • ragethorn

What exclusives? I’m not saying PS4 is worth buying either. I’m saying in no way shape of form is it logical to spend that much money to buy an X-Box One. Titfanfall was a huge hit for 2 weeks. Anything else?

But technically the PS4 is way better than the X-Box One. I don’t need to get into reasons why because technically it is and the exclusive line-up is far more superior than X-Box.

PS4 also needs to step it up though. No fanboyism here. I used to love PC gaming. Born and raised. This is one next gen race that started off slow for all teams.

        • RawBeard

Yes you are correct Titanfall was exciting for about 2 weeks and after a while for me it lost its appeal, but there are other Exclusives if you actually take a look, and depending on your personal taste some exclusives will work for you or not.
For me I’ve had a ton of fun with Sunset Overdrive it reminded me of the same kind of fun I had with the first couple of Tony Hawk games. Dead Rising 3 was a great arcade zombie game and even though I’ve played State of Decay on the 360 I will pick it up again for Xbox One. Despite its bugs the Master Chief Collection is a great collection and the Halo 5 Beta has got me super excited for this November. I’m not a big Driving Game person but I have enjoyed Forza Horizon 2. I liked Ryse, yeah it got repetitive towards the end but I was invested in the story…. Killer Instinct is a solid fighter which I revisit constantly.
So I’ve had a good time with the Exclusives on the Xbox One and look forward to the ones coming like Crackdown and Gears of War. Plus with E3 coming up it will be exciting to see what’s coming for both PS4 and Xbox One.

I’m with you man. I have a PS4 because PS4 is awesome and has way better games. But this game I actually would play if it weren’t an exclusive. Personally I think bigger games like this shouldn’t be exclusive to one system or another, one so I can play them and two it would make more money not limiting it to one console. So, nope, not buying an Xbox just for this game either so their loss. Maybe publishers shouldn’t be discriminatory when it comes to their fanbase and money

  • dead fanboy

PS4 is just boring. I’m going to buy an Xbox One this year especially with the upcoming big exclusives and console bundles that are going to arrive and recently the Gears of War news is very exciting.

I’m not a Sony fanboy anymore. I willing to try Xbox One this time around. Already played Bloodbourne and it’s a good game but not great. The difficulty of the game is a letdown it causes repetitive gameplay resulting in boredom. I personally give it a 80/100. But fans of Dark Souls it’s a game for them.
