Garbage Announces “20 Years Queer” Tour

Alt-rockers Garbage have announced that they will be celebrating the 20th anniversary release of their self-titled debut album by embarking on a massive tour this fall. Dubbed the “20 Years Queer Tour”, it begins on October 6th in San Diego, CA and wraps on November 14th in Edinburgh, UK. The full schedule can be seen below.

Guitarist Steve Marker states:

Garbage was born out of such unusual elements and unusual circumstances, and we were shocked when the first record became such a success. We’re just as surprised to be here now, intact, so many years later, enthusiastically preparing to get back on the road with that album and all its attendant b-sides and lord knows what else. A big piece of our lives remains caught up in the making of that record, and we know it holds a special place for the fans that have kept us going for so long. We can’t wait. This tour is going to be a blast.

The band’s last album was 2012’s Not Your Kind Of People (review).

I’ve been on a real big Garbage kick as of late. I’ve popped all their albums in my iTunes library and have been blasting them for the past few weeks. It’s gonna be awesome to see them on tour again!

One of my all time favorite bands….and they aren’t coming anywhere close to where I live, damnit.

Oh god, I love Garbage so much. They came to my town when I was 14 and their show was 16 and up so I couldn’t see them… I’m so excited to see them now that I’m older!

just loooove their definition of “Europe”… as always great bands don’t visit my country..

    Shirley Manson: VERY underrated hottie.

So glad I saw them when they came to Edmonton a few years ago.

Never thought I would ever see them live and even though the venue sucked so the sound quality was awful, it was still an amazing experience!
