Red Robin Has a ‘Terminator Genisys’ Burger and T-800 Cocktails
The one thing I love more than a fun promotion, it’s a super spicy burger.
Red Robin has partnered with Paramount Pictures for the release of Terminator Genisys with the unveiling of a new burger and cocktails inspired by the new Terminator film.
The “Genisys Burger” is a hopfully going to burn my lips off. It’s a fire-grilled beef patty topped with roasted jalapeño, pepper-jack cheese, avocado, shredded romaine, bacon, tomatoes and jalapeño aioli, served on a jalapeño-cornmeal bun. Also available are “T-800” cocktails, including the Blue Haze, a unique tiki cocktail features Captain Morgan spiced rum, blue curacao, pineapple juice, agave nectar, sweet and sour with a lemon squeeze and a strategically-placed cherry to mimic the Terminator’s red eye.
Red Robin is also hosting a social media contest that not only promotes the movie, but the winner could win a chance to win free burgers for a year. To be entered into the contest all guests have to do is upload an image of their Terminator Genisys burger to Instagram or Twitter using #RRillbeback.
Additionally, Red Robin’s latest Burger & A Movie promotion puts the spotlight on guests, with an offer to receive a free movie ticket to see Terminator Genisys when they purchase a $25 limited edition Red Robin gift card.
While you wait for Alien: Romulus, the folks over at Devilworks have cooked up their own slice of “mockbuster” fun with Alien Hunt, and we’re debuting the trailer here on BD this morning.
This brand-new sci-fi horror from director Aaron Mirtes (The Bigfoot Trap, Painted in Blood) is set for its US premiere on May 14, and you can find it on digital thanks to Devilworks.
You can exclusively watch the official trailer for Alien Hunt below, which looks to combine elements of Alien and Predator. This particular “mockbuster” has very little interest in hiding its inspirations, with the alien designs plucked straight out of H.R. Giger’s beautiful brain. Hey, if you’re going to pull from other movies, might as well take from the all-time greats!
In Alien Hunt, “On a hunting trip in the wilderness, a group of siblings discovers an abandoned military outpost on their land, but is it what it seems?
“Their trip takes a sinister turn when they find themselves facing off against a relentless army of extra-terrestrial beings. Suddenly, the hunters become the hunted.
