Legendary Brings ‘Crimson Peak’ and ‘Krampus’ to #SDCC
Legendary will show footage and present cast members from Crimson Peak, Krampus and Warcraft at its July 11 panel in Hall H at Comic-Con in San Diego, says Variety.
Crimson Peak, directed by Guillermo del Toro, is a gothic horror story starring Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston and Charlie Hunnam. Legendary Pictures produced, with Universal set to release Crimson Peak at the height of the Halloween season on Oct. 16.
Krampus is a comedy horror film directed by Michael Dougherty from his own script about the demon who is the opposite of Santa Claus in German folklore. The film stars Allison Tolman, Emjay Anthony, Adam Scott, David Koechner and Stefania Owen with a Dec. 4 launch from Universal.

Universal has set Warcraft, based on the videogame series of the same name, for release on June 10, 2016. Duncan Jones is directing from a screenplay that he co-wrote with Charles Leavitt. The film stars Ben Foster, Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell and Rob Kazinsky.

‘Drop’ – Violett Beane Joins the Cast of Christopher Landon’s New Thriller
Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.
The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.
Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.
Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”
Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.
Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.
THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
