“I’d F*ck Me” In Buffalo Bill’s House, Which Is For Sale

Published

The house that was owned by Jame “Buffalo Bill” Gumb in the 1991 serial killer thriller The Silence Of The Lambs has gone up for sale at a surprisingly affordable $300,000. The house, located in Fayette County, Pennsylvannia, sits on a 1.76 acre plot and has a pool with a vintage caboose that was turned into the pool house.

In an interview with homeowner Barbara Lloyd, she explained how the house was chosen for the film: “They were looking for a home in which you entered the front door and had a straight line through. They wanted it to look like a spider web, with Buffalo Bill drawing Jodie Foster into the foyer, into the kitchen, then into the basement.

Now, for those of you who are expecting to also get the creepy, dilapidated basement, you’ll be sorry to hear that all of those scenes were shot on a set built on a sound stage. It’s not part of the house in any way, shape, or form.
