From Dusk Till Dawn

El Rey Network’s From Dusk Till Dawn TV series has really started to find its footing in its second season. Now that it is actually telling an original story (rather than just stretching the first movie into 10 hour-long episodes), it suddenly seems like a more important series than it once was. Bloody Disgusting has been offered an exclusive clip from the second season’s fourth episode airing Tuesday night at 9PM ET that sees Kate (Madison Davenport) and her newly-vampirized brother Scott (Brandon Soo Hoo) burying a body in the rain, leading to some potentially disastrous results for Kate.

In the episode, “Kate hunts down Scott in Bethel before he can exact revenge. In Houston, Richie and Santanico find themselves deep in the flesh trade, while Seth tries to get back in Uncle Eddie’s good graces.”

From the studio:

In Season Two of El Rey Network and Miramax’s® supernatural crime saga, “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series,” the show travels between Mexico and the edgy, tricked-out Texas of Robert Rodriguez. It also deepens and complicates the core relationships between the characters, while adding new faces and new dynamics. Our characters are all living in very separate worlds –Santánico and Richie are outside Houston, doing their best Bonnie and Clyde; Seth and Kate are scraping by South of the Border; and Freddie Gonzalez is protecting his wife and young daughter in the suburbs. Carlos Madrigal and Scott Fuller emerge from the Titty Twister, changed men. They will all come together once again – this time facing off against an even bigger threat.

Returning cast members D.J. Cotrona (Dear John, G.I. Joe: Retaliation); Zane Holtz (Wind Walkers, Holes, The Perks of Being a Wallflower); Jesse Garcia (Quinceañera, “Sons of Anarchy”); Eiza González (True Love); Wilmer Valderrama (“That ‘70s Show,” To Whom It May Concern); Madison Davenport (“Noah,” “Shameless”); Brandon Soo Hoo (Tropic Thunder, Ender’s Game, Incredible Crew) and guest star Jake Busey (Motorcycle Gang, Contract) are joined in the show’s sophomore season by Danny Trejo (Machete, Machete Kills) as “The Regulator;” Esai Morales (“Criminal Minds,” “NYPD Blue”) as “Lord Amancio Malvado;” Jeff Fahey (“Lost,”  “Justified,” “Texas Rising”) as “Uncle Eddie Cruickshank”  and Briana Evigan (Step Up 2) as “Sonja Lam”.

“From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series” is a Miramax® production in association with Rodriguez International Pictures, FactoryMade Ventures, and Sugarcane Entertainment.  Executive producers are Robert Rodriguez, showrunner Carlos Coto, writer Diego Gutierrez, FactoryMade Ventures and El Rey Network co-founders John Fogelman and Cristina Patwa, and Miramax’s Zanne Devine and Daniel Pipski.

Miramax® is distributing “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series” internationally in all territories.

‘Late Night With the Devil’ – Exclusive Clip Begins the Supernatural Horror on Halloween 1977

The upcoming Late Night With the Devil is one of the most buzzed about horror movies of the year, currently 100% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and earning rave reviews from both Stephen King and Kevin Smith. King raves that the film is “absolutely brilliant,” adding that he couldn’t take his eyes off it. Smith comments, “I love it. It’s Rosemary’s Baby meets Network.”

David Dastmalchian (Dune, The Suicide Squad) stars as the host of a late-night talk show that descends into a nightmare in the Ghostwatch and WNUF Halloween Special-inspired film.

IFC Films & Shudder will release the hotly anticipated Late Night with the Devil theatrically on March 22 before it heads to Shudder exclusively on April 19, 2024.

Begin the horror with a brand new EXCLUSIVE clip below…

David Dastmalchian stars as Jack Delroy, the charismatic host of “Night Owls,” and the film traces the ill-fated taping of a live Halloween special in 1977 plagued by a demonic presence.

The energetic and innovative feature hails from Australian writing-directing team Colin and Cameron Cairnes (100 Bloody Acres, Scare Campaign).

The film premiered last year at SXSW. Meagan wrote in her review out of the fest, “Late Night with the Devil captures the chaotic energy of a late night show, embracing the irreverent comedy and stress of live television with a pastiche style. It’s a clever trojan horse for a surprising horror movie that goes full throttle on unhinged demonic mayhem.

“The ingenuity, the painstaking period recreation, a riveting performance by Dastmalchian, and a showstopper of a finale make for one Halloween event you won’t want to miss.”

Spooky Pictures founders Roy Lee (It, The Grudge, The Ring) and Steven Schneider (Pet Sematary, Paranormal Activity, Insidious), Derek Dauchy (“Al Kameen”) and Future Pictures’ Mat Govoni (“Lone Wolf”) and Adam White (“Lone Wolf”) and John Molloy are all producing.

Joel Anderson (Lake Mungo), Rami Yasin, and David Dastmalchian executive produce.
