Eureka Entertainment, who has been developing a bit of a reputation as the British Criterion Collection, has two wonderful Christopher Lee films lined up for dual format (Blu-ray/DVD combo) releases. Well technically only one is lined up for release as the other came out earlier this week. Let’s start there, shall we?

As of September 21st you can now pick up a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack of The Man Who Could Cheat Death from Eureka Entertainment. This release marks the Region B Blu-ray debut for this Hammer classic.

Synopsis:
Doctor and amateur sculptor Georges Bonnet (Anton Diffring – Circus of Horrors, Fahrenheit 451) has discovered a murderous method of maintaining his youth, once every ten years he murders a young woman and removes her parathyroid glands to replace his own. But after 104 years, he’s run into some problems. His collaborator is now too old to perform the surgical procedure, and a detective is on his case. In desperation Bonnet blackmails another surgeon (Christopher Lee) into performing the procedure by threatening the life of Janine Dubois (Hazel Court), a woman who both men desire.

-Optional English subtitles for the deaf and hard-ofhearing

On October 26, 2015 Eureka will release a Blu-ray/DVD combo of The Skull from director Freddie Francis. Just as it was with The Man Who Could Cheat Death, this will be the Region B Blu-ray debut for The Skull.

Peter Cushing stars as Dr. Christopher Maitland, a writer and collector of occult items (with a preference for those with a somewhat macabre history), who is offered the chance to purchase a highly expensive and unusual item – the skull of the Marquis de Sade. Warned against obtaining the item by fellow collector (Christopher Lee in a rare nonvillainous role), the skull’s influence draws Maitland in, madness and death soon follow…

-Optional English subtitles for the deaf and hard-ofhearing
