This “Spotless” Clip Goes Deep Inside…Literally [Exclusive]

Published

We’ve teamed up with Esquire to bring you an exclusive clip from the upcoming TV series “Spotless“, which makes its premiere on Saturday, November 14th! Let’s tell you a bit about the show before we describe the clip, shall we?

Set in contemporary London, ‘Spotless’ is a story of a troubled young family man, Jean Bastiere (Marc-André Grondin) whose life is turned upside down when his crook brother, Martin (Denis Ménochet), crash lands into his world. Martin is the polar opposite of his brother Jean. Affected by the same childhood tragedy as his brother, Martin drifted into a life of crime, alcohol abuse, drugs, and loose women. Now, yearning for a better life, Martin is forced to confront dark sins of the past and real dangers of the present. The Bastiere brothers’ lives collide when Jean stumbles across what appears to be a murder that his brother is trying to cover up. Forced to put his crime scene cleaning skills to the test, Jean must now clean up Martin’s mess.

Whew! That sounds dramatic, intense, and perfect for a TV series, right? Alright, let’s get to why we’re covering a dark thriller drama. You see, the clip we’re premiering showcases just how gruesome and dark this show is going to get. In it, the two brothers are around the corpse of a young woman who has a ton of tiny baggies of drugs in her digestive tract. It’s up to Martin to dig through her stomach and intestines to get them all out while Jean rinses them off. And if you think the camera pans away and leaves things to the imagination, you’re completely wrong. It shows it all.

“Spotless” is the first scripted show on Esquire, which is interesting considering the pretty graphic nature of what we’re seeing here. Kudos to Esquire for having the guts (pun intended) to show off something like this!

“Spotless” also stars Miranda Raison and Brendan Coyle. It was co-created by Ed McCardie and Corinne Marrinan.
