Welcome to the high life…

StudioCanal is taking a leap of faith with this teaser one-sheet for Ben Wheatley’s High-Rise, which had its World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival to luke-warm buzz (read our review).

Magnet Releasing released this fun teaser trailer for Ben Wheatley’s High-Rise, which had its World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival to luke-warm buzz (read our review).

The High-Rise teaser gives us a taste of star Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers, Crimson Peak), but is mostly a tour of the tour of terror that also features Jeremy Irons (Batman v Superman), Sienna Miller (American Sniper), Luke Evans (Dracula Untold) and Elisabeth Moss (“Mad Men”).

From the director of Kill List, Sightseers and A Field in England, “1975. Two miles west of London, Dr. Laing moves into his new apartment seeking soulless anonymity, only to find that the building’s residents have no intention of leaving him alone. Resigned to the complex social dynamics unfolding around him, Laing bites the bullet and becomes neighbourly. As he struggles to establish his position, Laing’s good manners and sanity disintegrate along with the building. The lights go out and the elevators fail but the party goes on. People are the problem. Booze is the currency. Sex is the panacea.
