Joe Hill’s ‘The Fireman’ Picked Up by Fox

Published

on

Fox has announced that they have acquired the film rights to “The Fireman“, the upcoming novel from Joe Hill (Locke and Key, NOS4A2, Horns). The movie will be directed by Louis Leterrier (The Transporter) and will be about a pandemic of spontaneous human combustions that threaten to burn up the human race…quite literally. According to Deadline, the explosive plague is apparently caused by a highly contagious spore, one that threatens the life of a pregnant nurse. Help comes from a group of improbable heroes, led by a mysterious figure known only as “The Fireman”. Dun dun DUN!

The novel will come out May 17th and no tentative release date has yet been issued for the film.
