When Animals Dream

There’s a few new titles now streaming on Netflix Instant that many of you are going to want to add to your queue.

Jonas Alexander Arnby’s coming-of-age werewolf flick, When Animals Dream, made quite a few best of the year lists.

Sonia Suhl, Lars Mikkelsen, Sonja Richter and Jakob Oftebro will star in the film described as Let The Right One In meets Carrie. It’s set in a secluded fishing village of Denmark about a young girl falling in love and discovering she is a werewolf through her mother at the same time as she gets hunted down by the villagers.

It’s Selma Hayek in Joe Lynch’s super fun Takashi Miike meets Die Hard thriller Everly. “Trapped in her apartment, Everly (Hayek) is forced to fend off waves of assassins sent by her former lover – a dangerous Yakuza mob boss who wants her dead after he learns she is no longer loyal to him. Desperate to be re-united with her mother and young daughter, Everly must fight to kill her attackers before they destroy her and her family.

Lastly, Josh Forbes’ Contracted: Phase II, starring Matt Mercer, Marianna Palka, Morgan Peter Brown, and Anna Lore, infects the streaming service. It takes place two years after the events of the original film where Riley tries to cure Samantha of the sexually-transmitted zombie virus before it destroys all of LA.
