‘Nest’ Images Tease Arachnid Horror

It was announced out of AFM that Resident Evil: Retribution‘s Li Bingbing, Kellan Lutz and Kelsey Grammer would be starring in the 3D sci-fi action film Nest.

Images have appeared ahead of EFM in Berlin with news that Stef Dawson, Shane Jacobson and Wu Zun have also joined the cast.

The film, the largest Chinese-Australian co-production to date, “Revolves around a team of scientists who while making the discovery of the century lose a colleague in an ancient labyrinth. The group must battle their way through a swarm of deadly, man-eating funnel web spiders and discover the secret behind the arachnids’ power and intelligence – before it’s too late.

This sounds more terrifying than the “Harry Potter” ride at Universal Studios Orlando.

Kimble Rendall (Bait) will direct Nest, which was filmed in Australia. Along with starring, Chinese actress Li also will produce with Gary Hamilton, Ying Ye, Mark Lazarus and Serena Deng, and executive producers Mike Gabrawy and Elliot Tong.

Love me some giant spider movies. Big Ass Spider was okay for that budget flick. 8 legged freaks was fun. Unfortunately haven’t seen lavalanchula yet (is it even released?) Hell Even spiders I and II was okay. Lookin forward to this.

Hmmm sounds fun I love a good Sci-Fi creature feature so I’m definitely keeping my eye out for this one. Still the best Spider Creature feature to date for me is Eight Legged Freaks which was a good time. Looking forward to this one.
