Horrific ‘Prom Ride’ Documented In This Trailer

Vision Films is set to release the new teen horror Prom Ride on DVD and VOD on March 15, 2016.

A horror debut from writer/director Kazeem Molake (He’s On My Mind), Prom Ride is an original horror thriller starring Heather Paige Cohn (Bachelor Night, Bound), Noah Nevins (Tales of Halloween, Realm), Victoria Levine (Zombies Vs. Strippers, Dracula: The Impaler), Joseph Rich (My Stepbrother is a Vampire, Cut!), Joi Liaye (Love Escapes Us, Dead Ant), Deanna Pak (Smosh: The Movie, Tattooed Love), Byron Thomas (After the Storm, In Our Closeness) and first time actress Ariella Rose.

Prom Ride “is the story of best friends riding to the prom together in a stretch limo. On the way, the limo is hijacked and the audience becomes trapped inside with the friends who are fighting to survive.

Their senior prom was to be a night of elegance, rejoicing and celebrating, but when a psychotic killer hijacks their stretch limo, the teens are tortured while being held hostage. Soon they turn on each other for survival. By the end, we learn that one of the teens had been keeping a secret that played a bigger role in their demise.”

Prom Ride combines POV shots with traditional cinematography. The musical score by Keith Harrison (American Idol, A Snow Globe Christmas) allegedly adds to the intensity of the film.

Gateway Horror Classic ‘The Gate’ Returns to Life With Blu-ray SteelBook in May

One of my personal favorite horror movies of all time, 1987’s gateway horror classic The Gate is opening back up on May 14 with a brand new Blu-ray SteelBook release from Lionsgate!

The new release will feature fresh SteelBook artwork from Vance Kelly, seen below.

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones.
