James Wan (Saw, Insidious, Dead Silence) is back with The Conjuring 2, which will bring to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren!

Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.

In theaters on June 10th from New Line Cinema, Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive clip from the film that ups the ante from the first film in which the young girl sees “something” in the shadowy corners of her room. Here, another little girl is being spooked by something in her closet. She blocks whatever “it” is in with a chair, only to have the chair tossed to the side. She cowers in fear under the covers…but that won’t save her!

The Conjuring 2 is said to open with The Amityville Horror case. After, the sequel will tell of the infamous “Enfield Poltergeist,” which took place at a council house in Brimsdown village, borough of Enfield, England during the late 1970s.

Rounding out the cast are Frances O’Connor (“The Missing”) as the single mom, with newcomers Lauren Esposito, Patrick McAuley and Benjamin Haigh as her children; Maria Doyle Kennedy (“Orphan Black”); Simon Delaney (“Roy”); Franka Potente (“The Bridge”); and Simon McBurney (Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation).

In addition to directing the film, Wan wrote the screenplay with Carey and Chad Hayes, and David Leslie Johnson.

I thought the Honda commercial before the clip….was more frightening.

I was at the press screening in London on Wednesday and I LOVED the film. I feel it’s a very solid sequel. I actually jumped several times and came out with a buzz… Something I’ve not had in a long while with a horror film. Having seen various documentaries and a few TV/film adaptations, I was worried that the Enfield Haunting element would be stale but thanks to the inclusion of another Ed & Lorraine case and a twist, it definitely felt fresh. The audience clapped after the film ended which is always a great sign. I really want to se it again.
