Don’t be alarmed. That girl has no head. Okay, be alarmed.
Set to screen next week at FEARnyc, director Kelton Jones’ award-winning film Dry Blood has been garnering rave reviews across the board, and if this new trailer is any indication, it’s home to some serious nightmare imagery. Writer/star Clint Carney promises that it will indeed send shivers up and down that spine of yours.
“Kelton Jones and I wanted to make a movie that was scary and disturbing but also really smart,” Carney told us. “We wanted Dry Blood to be a film that people would have to talk about after leaving the theater. And so far, based on the success of our festival run, I think we’ve hit that mark. It has ghosts, gore, a very surrealistic atmosphere, and a pretty unique way of telling the story that keeps the audience guessing and feeling uneasy all the way through.”
Sounds good to us. Check out the trailer below!
In the film:
Brian Barnes escapes to a remote cabin to sober up one final time. His plans are soon interrupted by the torments of a sadistic Sheriff and ghastly visions of ghosts (that may or may not be hallucinations brought on by his withdrawal). While pulling at the threads to this horrific mystery, it may be Brian’s sanity that unravels first.
Carney stars alongside Jaymie Valentine, Kelton Jones, Rob V. Galluzzo, Graham Sheldon, Rin Ehlers, Macy Johnson, and Savea Kagan.
