Spirit Animal Channel ‘Mad Max’, ‘Wrong Turn’, and More in “Big Bad Road Dog” Video! (Exclusive)

Published

on

We’ve teamed up with rockers Spirit Animal to bring you the exclusive music video premiere of “Big Bad Road Dog”, which comes from their EP World War IV. The video, which was directed by Shal Ngo and features renowned fighters Moe Diesel, Anne Lieberman, Erik Somwaru, and Graham Friedman, shows the band in a barn, each bloodied and beaten, trying to make their way through several masked and armed fighters.

Vocalist Steve Cooper tells BD:

Making this video was one of the coolest experiences of our career because we were able to live out childhood dreams that we didn’t even know we had. Growing up, a lot of kids idolize movie stars, enjoy play-fighting, and are drawn to toy weapons, but unless you decide to become an actor you don’t explore the possibility of actually making an action film. Even as artists who have released some pretty wild videos and are constantly challenging ourselves in terms of character and concept development, we don’t walk around every day thinking, “I can’t wait to get put in a chokehold by a Muay Thai champion,” or, “when is the next time I’m going to pretend to beat someone to a bloody pulp?” This video let us realize those fantasies without having to spend our entire lives striving for them. We gave the director (Shal Ngo from Acres) a few references, explained the premise of the song as “a fun carnival of death” …and voilà!!! We’re movie stars.

With elements of Wrong Turn, Mad Max, The Walking Dead and a pure, good ol’ fashioned 80’s beat ’em up, “Big Bad Road Dog” is one helluva video that I am stoked to be premiering!

You can snag World War IV via iTunes or stream it via Spotify.

Daniel Roebuck has been cast as Santa Claus in Terrifier 3, Bloody Disgusting can exclusively report.

Writer-director Damien Leone is currently wrapping production on the highly-anticipated sequel, in which Art the Clown unleashes chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.

“I’ve been holding this secret for a long time!” Roebuck tells Bloody Disgusting. “I’ve been really excited about it. I’m actually entering into the movies that I watch. It’s extraordinary. This is Terrifier bigger, badder, best.”

Roebuck appears in Terrifier 3 alongside returning cast members David Howard Thornton, Lauren LaVera, Samantha Scaffidi, Elliot Fullam, and AEW superstar Chris Jericho.

No stranger to iconic horror properties, Roebuck has squared off against Michael Myers in Rob Zombie’s Halloween II, played The Count in Zombie’s The Munsters, succumbed to The Tall Man’s sphere in Phantasm: Ravager, and investigated death in Final Destination.

A distinguished character actor with over 250 credits, Roebuck has also appeared in The Devil’s Rejects, 3 from Hell, Bubba Ho-Tep, John Dies at the End, The Fugitive, Lost, Agent Cody Banks, and The Man in the High Castle. Incidentally, he’s also playing Santa in the family drama Saint Nick of Bethlehem, due out later this year.

Terrifier 3 will be released in theaters nationwide later this year via Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting in conjunction with our partner on Terrifier 2, Iconic Events Releasing.
