Next time carolers show up at your door, you might want to answer.
If you’re anything like me, you have a list of horror films you plan on watching every December, but you end up being so busy that you never get around to even half of them – there are, after all, a whole lot of horror gems with Christmas themes. But if you’re too busy buying/wrapping/stressing over gifts to watch all your faves, why not get your fix with some holiday horror shorts?
There are countless short tales of Christmas horror that’ll take you only a few minutes to consume, and some of my personal favorites include The Winter Stalker, Treevenge, My Name Is Kris Kringle, and Dionysis Atzarakis’s SANTA. I can also personally recommend this year’s new YouTube series “12 Deadly Days,“ home to 12 different holiday horror shorts.
Speaking of horrific Christmas shorts, another brand new one has just arrived.
From “Burn Notice” creator Matt Nix and Matt Fackrell comes There Shall Come Angels, a 6-minute short starring frequent Rob Zombie actor Jeff Daniel Phillips (The Lords of Salem, 31). In the short, a group of young carolers bring a little Christmas magic to a suburban couple on a winter’s night, but when they next arrive at the door of a holiday scrooge, well, things get twisted.
You may never look at carolers the same way again!
