NECA Announces Massive ‘Blade Runner 2049’ Toys and Collectibles Line

Ryan Gosling toys for everyone!

Fans of Ridley Scott’s early output are in store for one hell of a 2017, to say the very least. In May, Scott himself brings us a true prequel to his 1979 sci-fi/horror classic in the form of Alien: Covenant, and then in October, acclaimed director Denis Villeneuve brings us a long-awaited sequel to 1982’s Blade Runner with Blade Runner 2049. Are you excited? We sure are.

If you collect toys, get ready to get even more excited.

NECA recently announced that they will be releasing a line of Alien: Covenant figures later this year, and today they revealed that the action figure and collectibles license for Blade Runner 2049 has also been acquired. The company plans to release a full range of action figures, die cast vehicles, replicas, games and more in 2017, with reveals expected at Toy Fair in February.

In Blade Runner 2049, set 30 years after the events of the first film:

LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling) unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

Blade Runner 2049 opens in theaters on October 6th, 2017.

If I can finally get an awesome Spinner toy, I’ll be happy. Maybe we’ll also get an affordable but accurate gun replica.
