Be excited. Don’t even bother containing it.
We reported way back in the summer of 2015 that Skydance Productions was developing a film based on the creepy Bermuda Triangle, the legendary and mysterious Caribbean area where planes and ships inexplicably have gone missing. Ready for an incredibly awesome update? THR is reporting today that Sam Raimi is in talks to direct the film for Skydance!
Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard, who co-wrote 2010’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice starring Nicolas Cage, rewrote an original screenplay by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (Freddy vs. Jason and 2009’s Friday the 13th).
The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil’s Triangle, is the area that stretches between the Florida Straits, Bermuda and Puerto Rico. Over the years, several ships and planes have disappeared while in the area under mysterious circumstances. Theories centered on paranormal or extraterrestrial causes have long swirled around these strange disappearances.
Universal and Warner Bros. are also developing Bermuda Triangle films.
