Fangoria writes:

“Troma is gearing up for production on its latest outrageous horror/comedy, POULTRYGEIST: ATTACK OF THE CHICKEN ZOMBIES, in the New York area, and has posted a number of job opportunites here. The company is looking for special FX/makeup artists to create “decaying corpses, bloodied severed limbs, various appliances and the vast army of monster/zombie chickens,” plus a costume designer, set designer and choreographer—and a fast-food restaurant to serve as the main location. This being Troma, the positions are unpaid, though costs of materials will be covered and prominent credit on the film will be given.”

Described as “a fromage to Takashi Miike,” POULTRYGEIST, which will be directed by Troma topper Lloyd Kaufman, is summarized thusly on the site: “When the American Chicken Bunker, a military-themed fried-chicken chain, builds a restaurant on the site of an ancient Indian burial ground, local protestors aren’t the only ones crying fowl! The previous tenants, fueled by a supernatural force, take ‘possession’ of the food and those who eat it, and the survivors discover that they must band together before they themselves become the other white meat!” The script is currently being finalized, with casting to begin in the spring and filming scheduled for this summer.”
