New 'Friday The 13th: The Game' Tidbits! - Bloody Disgusting!

New ‘Friday The 13th: The Game’ Tidbits!

Those of you itching for Gun Media’s Friday The 13th: The Game to hurry up and get released (we already saw the fan-made mask for Tom Savini’s exclusive Jason skin in the game), the latest video by CharminEXSoft Gaming won’t make things any easier.

In his latest video, CharminEXSoft goes over some of the bits and pieces the crew working on Friday The 13th: The Game have been leaving on Twitter and the like. While these tidbits aren’t 100% confirmed, it’s at least being backed up by evidence. For starters, Part 6 Jason will not have the exclusivity of using darts. In a tweet, game co-creator Wes Keltner has seemingly confirmed that multiple (if not all) incarnations of Jason will be able to use the throwing dart, as well as restock their supply during the game.

In addition, Keltner also confirmed other things that fans have been suspecting for a while, such as Jason having the ability to use traps, as well as the ability to break the fences that are on the campgrounds. One big feature that was revealed a few weeks ago was Jason’s “Stalk” ability, which allows Jason to mute the music when Jason is near, as well as enhance Jason’s hearing. Sounds cheesy, I know, but listening to CharminEXSoft explain it makes the ability sound very cool (and scary for those playing as the counsellors).

Check out the video below, and cross your fingers that Friday The 13th: The Game will be released within the next month or so (it’s still scheduled for a spring release, after all).

  • Flu-Like Symptoms

But the game doesn’t really exist and Gun have simply stolen everyone’s money………

  • I would prefer a GOOD single player game about Friday the 13th than this boring multiplayer.

I hope to see one day a video game about Freddy VS Jason with the Until Dawn gameplay.

    • Darkknight2149

There actually will be a single player mode.

      • Josh Blitzenbrox Myers

Tacked on single player. It’s not the main focus, and the multiplayer in the beta was a bit rough, so I’m not going to get my hopes up that the single player will be much more than multiplayer with bots

        • Flu-Like Symptoms

It’ll be a completely different thing. You’ll play as Jason with specific tasks.

    • Josh Blitzenbrox Myers

Freddy Vs Jason with Until Dawn gameplay sounds awesome. I’d buy it

      • Me too, I’d buy it in the release day!

  • Chris Genth

I’m excited about this game, if u pre order u get single player free. They took the money off my debit card the other day, so I expect the game being released very soon

    • Ian McGreal

What ? You have to pay for single player separately ? I thought they hit their crowd funding Mark though

      • Chris Genth

Everything I’ve read u get single player free if u preorder, if u wait gotta pay extra

    • Zombi Scooby

Sorry, but single player is free for all. Ask on twitter

      • Chris Genth

Well they must have just decided to change it, doesn’t matter to me I’m set

  • turk

Still bugs me that they made bag-head Jason about 6′ 7″. He didn’t become the hulking goliath until at least Part 3.

    • Chris Genth

Richard Brooker was the guy in part 3, he was only 6 foot 2 inches.

      • turk

Only? I’ve actually met him. He’s a pretty big guy. And much bigger than the Jason in Part 2. Really, I think it’s just laziness on the developer’s part. They probably didn’t want to take the time to create a new model, so they pasted the bag-head skin over an existing one.

        • Chris Genth

Hey did u know the guy that claims to have played jason in the whole movie is full of shit. What’s in name Willington or something, yeah he’s going around the horror conventions acting like he did all of the movie. The only part he played was long haired jason breaking through the window at the end that’s it. That’s cool u met Brooker him and Ted white from part 4 are my favorites

          • turk

Yeah, I met almost all the Jasons (and all the survivor girls) at a horror convention in Chicago a few years ago. Bought Kane Hodder a beer at the hotel bar. Super nice guy. Bad taste in beer, though. Have two Jason mask props, one signed by the Jasons, the other by the girls.

          • Chris Genth

That’s awsome, I’ve told my wife that we need to check one out in Chicago sometime. I’m in Elkhart indiana about 2 hours away. I would give my left nut to meet kane your a lucky person. Bad taste in beer, you’ve got to tell me what kind of beer he likes. I loved how he played jason, with his body movements he was my favorite. He has a lot of respect for the role and for the fans as I’m sure u probably know. Damn I need to start going to these conventions. My daughter went a few years back to one in Chicago for the walking dead. I of course raised her on horror just like I was

          • turk

You’re very close to me. I’m in La Porte, IN. The convention I went to was Flashback Weekend in Rosemont. I’m not sure if it still is, but it used to be the same weekend as Wizard World and was held across the street at the Crowne Plaza. The last time I went was pretty great, with almost all the Jasons and survivor girls, as well as a good amount of the actors who played Mike Myers, as well as Danny Glover and even John Romero.

Mr. Hodder had a Sam Adams, if I recall correctly. Could be worse, I suppose. But they had much better beers available.

          • Chris Genth

Yeah Sam Adam’s is awful beer but that’s awsome you got to sit down with him and have a beer, damn I’m jealous. Just curious what did he talk about, that’s cool your so close. I also frequently talk to another person on here Norco, he’s in Pennsylvania. I love meeting new people and talking about horror in general. Where do u find the dates on these conventions ahead of time? Here on this website or is there some place u go, if I ever had the chance I’d would have to plan way ahead of time. I don’t know about u but momma handles the money and we live pay check to pay check. But I bet gas is probably the most u spend depending on how far u gotta go. I just turned 44 and I’ve never went to anything like that.

          • turk

Honestly, the first time I went to Flashback Weekend, I was staying in the Crowne Plaza for Wizard World, and they happened to be in the hotel’s convention center. Then I started going back for a couple years. It was always in August. I haven’t been there in about 3 years now, though. I’m slightly older than you, and although not married, I am now attached, so our vacations have gotten a bit outside of the comic and horror convention circuit, but I can get away. I know that Indy also has a pretty good horror convention, as well as Cincinnati, in the next few months. I definitely would be open to either if you want to hook up for driving or hotels. I usually read HorrorHound magazine, and they cover the upcoming conventions.

          • Chris Genth

I really appreciate the offer but unfortunately I’m physical not able to travel at this time. I normally don’t discuss my health but I don’t what to seem rude. I had major back surgery a few years back, was told I’d be good as new. I’ve had chronic pain in my lower back and legs ever since. They took 3 of my disc out and put cages with liquid what was supposed to spur bone growth. It didn’t and now I live on opioids daily. U seem like a decent person and I really appreciate the offer. Would love to keep communicating with u on this fourm. I love talking about horror

          • turk

Ah, man, you’re stuck in Indiana? I thought I was the only one with that misfortune…and I can leave. Hah, no but seriously, if you can do better living through chemistry enough to do a horror convention to go, let me know. My girlfriend is pretty good about letting me disappear for a weekend. Anyway private me on my account. I’d be happy to keep talking horror movies with a local. Hell, Indiana is locally horrific…

          • Chris Genth

I appreciate that, yeah unfortunately I live on vicodin and morphine for the chronic pain. That’s why I have so much time watching horror, but anyway yeah I got another friend on here Nerco he’s a nice guy, love meeting new people and talking about horror

          • turk

Ok man, be happy to drive if you get enough pain control…and share a little, lol!

          • Chris Genth

Lol I’ll keep that in mind

          • turk

I was kidding. But you can’t do a 3 hour drive?

          • Chris Genth

My wife’s family lives down in Fairmount, it’s only a 2 hour drive from here and I cant do it. Man your a pretty trusting person. For all u know I could be a serial killer . Lol

          • turk

You’re a serial killer who knows your limits, I’ll assume. Unfortunately, most of my friends don’t appreciate horror movies or my affection for them.

Too bad, though. Bet better drugs and let me know. I’d love to have someone to hit the horror conventions.

          • Chris Genth

            Ok I will

  • Sean Robert Hart

Why is jason using throwing darts?

    • Sean Robert Hart

Nvm i looked it up. Totally forgot that scene. Didnt realize it was so iconic that it would be a big feature in the game.

      • remcycle

I wouldn’t call it iconic…just that every single sequel had a different Jason with different quirks. 6 was the only one with the throwing darts for example…or 3 was the only one (I think) to use a speargun (why they had one of those at a campground is beyond me!). Or 7 was the only one to use that crazy cool circular-saw-on-a-stick thing.

Just little things to make the playable Jasons different.

  • Darkknight2149

I hope that the traps are the ONLY thing they barrow from the horrendous reboot (except for maybe a character skin).

    • James Morrall

      I liked it alright.
