R.I.P. B-Movie Scream Queen Kathleen Crowley Dies at 87
A mainstay on television throughout the ’50s and ’60s, actress Kathleen Crowley also appeared on the big screen in a handful of B-level science fiction and horror movies in the late ’50s.
Born on December 26th, 1929, Kathleen Crowley had her first brush with fame when she was awarded the title of Miss New Jersey in 1949, at just 19 years old. Later that year, she finished in sixth place in the Miss America pageant, representing New Jersey, and it wasn’t long after that her career as an actress began.
Crowley’s first roles were on television, and the small screen would be her home throughout much of her career. She appeared in everything from “The Lone Wolf” to “Batman,” also making appearances on “The Lone Ranger,” “Waterfront,” “Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color,” “77 Sunset Strip,” “Maverick” and “Perry Mason.”
On the big screen, Crowley starred in genre films such as 1954’s Target Earth, 1958’s The Flame Barrier and 1959’s Curse of the Undead. She also starred in City of Shadows, Female Jungle, The Rebel Set and Downhill Racer, before ending her career as an actress in 1970.
Kathleen Crowley died on April 23rd at her home in New Jersey.

You can exclusively watch the official trailer for Alien Hunt below, which looks to combine elements of Alien and Predator. This particular “mockbuster” has very little interest in hiding its inspirations, with the alien designs plucked straight out of H.R. Giger’s beautiful brain. Hey, if you’re going to pull from other movies, might as well take from the all-time greats!
In Alien Hunt, “On a hunting trip in the wilderness, a group of siblings discovers an abandoned military outpost on their land, but is it what it seems?
“Their trip takes a sinister turn when they find themselves facing off against a relentless army of extra-terrestrial beings. Suddenly, the hunters become the hunted.
