Predators Riding a Tank in New ‘The Predator’ Set Photos

Published

on

With Shane Black (The Nice Guys) at the helm, next year’s The Predator is in pretty damn good hands. Black is rebooting the franchise with a big-budget action/horror film that aims to satisfy fans of the original while delivering something fresh and new; and if these latest set photos are any indication, we are indeed going to see things we haven’t quite seen before.

One of the set photos, which comes courtesy of photographer Jarrod Au over on Instagram, shows a massive tank with two Predators riding on it alongside the film’s human heroes, which sure seems to suggest that the monsters and humans will be working together in some capacity. You can check out that photo HERE, and also see two similar ones HERE and HERE.

You may notice that the Predator atop the tank is wearing military cargo pants, which is interesting to say the least. But for now, let’s not read too far into it.

The movie once again features a group of unsuspecting humans who slowly realize that fierce hunter-aliens are in their midst, this time in what could be a suburban setting.

The cast includes Boyd Holbrook, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Edward James Olmos, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Alfie Allen, Yvonne Strahovski and Olivia Munn. Jake Busey also has a role, following in his father’s footsteps.

Black is directing from a script he co-wrote with Fred Dekker.

Fox will hunt The Predator on August 3, 2018.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
