Charlton Heston’s Voice Used in New ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ Teaser
“I refuse to accept… the end of man.”
The final trailer for the Matt Reeves-directed War for the Planet of the Apes is set to drop tomorrow, but it’s a new teaser for that trailer that we’re here to share with you today. And if you’re a fan of the original franchise, oh boy is it a treat.
The teaser features the voice of late acting legend Charlton Heston, who of course starred in the 1968 Planet of the Apes. Needless to say, it’s pretty cool to hear Heston’s voice being used in regards to the brand new saga’s latest entry. Watch below.
In the film…
Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both of their species and the future of the planet.
Andy Serkis returns as Caesar, with Judy Greer, Woody Harrelson and Steve Zahn added to the growing battle.
War of the Planet of the Apes ends mankind on July 14, 2017.
