Fede Alvarez Shares His Own “80s Poster Design” for ‘Don’t Breathe’

Published

While we wait for more news on the Don’t Breathe sequel that is apparently happening, we’ve got a fun little treat for those of you who dug last year’s film

Evil Dead remake director Fede Alvarez was the man behind Don’t Breathe, and he just tweeted out a piece of retro-style poster art that he himself whipped up.

My own 80’s Poster design for #DontBreathe,” Alvarez tweeted, along with the image. The art has a certain Drew Struzan feel to it, which needless to say makes it pretty damn awesome. It’s also much better than the film’s on-the-nose official poster, which had an image of Jane Levy with her hands clasped over her mouth.

You can check out Alvarez’s unused design below.

Levy stars in Don’t Breathe as one of three teens who break into a blind man’s home (Stephen Lang) thinking they’ll get away with the perfect crime. Dylan Minnette (Goosebumps) and Daniel Zovatto (It Follows) play the other thieves.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
