She’s still perfectly preserved, after all these years.
Who could ever forget Alfred Hitchcock’s reveal in Psycho that Norman’s mother had been dead all along? Her loving son has set up her corpse in a rocking chair, and he’s even dressed her up in a gown and wig. That image of a mummified Norma Bates is one of most memorable in horror history… and this Halloween season, you can bring that iconic corpse into your own home!
The “Mother Animated Prop” is now up for grabs from Fright Props, and it’s a clear homage (officially licensed or not) to the aforementioned scene from Psycho. Powered by an electric motor and further brought to life with an included CD, Mother rocks the night away while making the horrifying sounds that only a long-dead corpse can make.
Mother slowly rocks back and forth as she contemplates your fate. This life-sized animated sitting prop has a foam-filled latex body with metal armature and heavy duty electric motor. She has a grey wig and long dress, with hand painted detailing on her face and hands.
Check out the “Rocking Mother” in action below!
Unfortunately, the rocking chair is not included with your $438 purchase.
