Mundfish Unveils Soviet-era Shooter ‘Atomic Heart’

Since it seems like we’ll be waiting a while for the next entry in the BioShock, Moscow-based developer Mundfish has something to tide you over. The developer has just unveiled the trailer for Atomic Heart, a first-person shooter adventure set in an alternate timeline where the Soviet Union is still kicking. And damn, I’m getting some BioShock vibes with this (and not because of the wrench).

Details on Atomic Heart haven’t been fully revealed yet, but the game casts you as a special agent who has been sent to the highly-secret Facility 3826 by the Soviet government after contact with the area was lost. It turns out that Facility 3826 has had a revolt of the robot kind, with the clunkers walking/flying everywhere, and killing everything that doesn’t consist of nuts’n’bolts. You’ve also got to contend with patrolling “seekers” that are actively searching for flesh.

No release date has been set as of yet, but expect the game for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
