Months ago, Bethesda was doing a little teasing (well, more teasing) regarding Prey, which despite not being the hit we were hoping for, is getting that DLC.
Launching today for $19.99USD, the DLC dubbed Mooncrash, will feature an infinitely replayable rogue-like mode. Players will fight to escape a TranStar moon base, with the enemy encounters, loot, and challenges being different every time you play. The DLC will also be bundled with the base game in the form of Prey: Digital Deluxe.
In addition, the game will also be getting three free updates in the form of additional play modes available later tonight. Story Mode will allow a casual way to play through the narrative, Survival mode will offer a new level of challenge, and New Game + will give players who already completed the game incentive to dive back in.
And later this summer, a multiplayer update called “Typhon Hunter” will be released. In this mode, one survivor will be pitted against five other players who are shape-shifting Mimic aliens. The update, which will include VR modes, will be free for those with Mooncrash.
