Despite being delayed to 2019, and with THQ Nordic being absent, that hasn’t stopped Deep Silver and 4A Games from showing off a new gameplay trailer for Metro Exodus. In addition, the game now has a release date of February 22, 2019, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
The gameplay trailer shows off 4A Games’ work in reimagining the eastern European landscape in great detail, while also showing just what sort of challenges the player will face as series protagonist Artyom travels the Volga region during the post-apocalyptic Russian spring. Based on the series of novels by Dmitry Glukhovsky, the story for the game sets it in 2036, in the midst of a civil war in nuclear-ravaged Russia. Series protagonist Artyom must escape the Metro and lead a band of Spartan Rangers across post-apocalyptic Russia in search of a new life in the East.
