James Wan, who directed the smash hit Saw, has just begun casting on his second feature film entitled Silence, which will see release through Universal Pictures later next year. The movie is said to take a very different horror approach than Saw did late last year. Read on for the first casting news….
According to the Hollywood Reporter:
Amber Valletta and Ryan Kwanten are set to star in “Silence,” a horror film being directed by James Wan for Universal Pictures. Greg Hoffman, Mark Burg and Oren Koules of Evolution Entertainment will produce via their genre arm Twisted Pictures. Kwanten will play a man who returns to his hometown in order to unearth clues to his wife’s murder. Valletta plays his father’s trophy wife, who is more sinister than she appears. The screenplay is by Wan and Leigh Whannell, the team behind horror hit “Saw,” which grossed more than $55 million at the domestic boxoffice. That film also was produced by Evolution Entertainment.
