Mr. D. Survives ‘The Roost’ and Lives to Tell About It!

As I was sitting in the theater watching Ti West’s incredible low budget feature film The Roost (review #1, #2) all I could think was “there’s no way it’s going to stay this good until the end, no way in hell,” well I spoke too soon. The Roost, which blew away audiences at the FanTasia Festival in Montreal, Canada tonight, kicked my ass. I really hope I don’t over hype this movie too much, considering it’s a really low budget pic, but it truly is a spectacle and an accomplishment. Read my review here and check it out when it hits limited theaters this October. Part of a “special” late-nite television program, four friends on their way to a wedding find themselves marooned on a mysterious farm. Creatures of the night awaken and the undead rise, as a night of relentless horror begins.
