The Weekend Freeze: Red Eye, Vengeance and Virgins!

This week the Virgin looks to finally score! What a fantastic weekend to head to the movies! Sure there are some big studio flicks hitting theaters, but if you’re in LA or NY I think your best bet is to check out Tartan’s Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (review). For everyone else there’s a trio of options. First is Wes Craven’s Red Eye (review), which opens in 2700+ theaters. Topping that is Universal’s comedy starring Steve Carrell entitled The 40 Year-Old Virgin (review), which opens in 2,840 theaters. Lastly is Buena Vista’s animated film Valiant, which will get children back into the theater on 2,000 screens. My prediction is that Virgin will unload on the competition.
