I just got back from a screening of Dimension Films’ Wolf Creek (Sundance review)- the only good horror movie to come out of Sundance this year- and I’ve got a double dose of good news for you. As of right now Greg McLean’s movie is still 100% intact, gore and all. But one, Dimension also screened Cursed the same way and then cut it at the last minute and two, the MPAA has yet to approve- so fingers crossed. The second piece of good news regarding the movie is that I’m ashamed of my initial review- I will be rewriting it. The movie is a gem; lesson learned- never see a movie for the first time on video (gag me). Wolf Creek hits UK cinemas September 16th and US cinemas on November 18th. The film, made for less than $2 million, centers on a group of backpackers who have a run in with a loopy stranger, played by John Jarratt.
